The strong peppery taste of rocket is by far the finest when it is home grown.
Rocket grows like an herb - a small tub on a window sill or patio is ideal for snipping a handful of leaves to spice up a summer salad. Plant half a packet of seeds in late April/May. Cut them young. This pot should last about half way through the summer.
You can plant the second half of the seeds a few weeks before this in order to enjoy fresh rocket for the rest of the summer.
